Direct Line w/Jason Trott
Jason is a lifelong resident of Southern Anne Arundel County. He grew up in the Cedarhurst on the Bay neighborhood and came up through the Anne Arundel County Public School System. Later he attended University of Maryland, College Park where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Politics.
Jason worked throughout college, first for our County Recreation and Parks Department, where he first learned to appreciate providing great customer service to county residents. Later, he served briefly as a Doorkeeper for the United States Senate Sergeant at Arms, keeping order in the Senate chamber during proceedings and ensuring people from across the country had a worthwhile visit to the U.S. Capitol.
After college, Jason began a career in public service. First, as a legislative aide to Delegate Seth Howard, working with a vast range of important legislative issues including consumer protection, education, natural resources, tax relief, and utilities.
Currently, Jason serves as the Deputy Director for the Maryland Republican Party, where he advocates for Conservative values, principles, and candidates across the entire state. He also serves on the Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee as the Vice Chairman and represents Legislative District 30. The Central Committee makes recommendations to the Governor on appointments to the House of Delegates and State Senate when a vacancy occurs. Jason was a part of this process in 2021 when the committee filled a Delegate vacancy in District 33.
Jason currently still resides in Cedarhurst, where he owns a home 4 streets over from the home he grew up in. He loves Anne Arundel County and hopes to keep giving back to our community as our next Clerk of the Circuit Court.
