Reid is a current Delegate representing District 9A appointed by Governor Larry Hogan. He is a Husband, Father (to Vienna a 6th grader in public school), Colonel in the Air Force, and is working hard to be your next State Senator.
Reid J. Novotny has two degrees from The George Washington University and an additional Masters from George Mason University. He has taken this education along with 22 years of experience as a Cyberwarfare Officer in the Air Force serving overseas and here at US Cyber Command to share insights with America via dozens of live interviews. With inflation at a 40-year high, more government spending is not the answer. Delegate Novotny submitted bills to eliminate the Gas Tax, return the $8 billion surplus to taxpayers and retirees, and scored as a 97% pro-business legislator.
Your Safety
Crime is getting worse everywhere in Maryland and Reid is a consistent advocate for our community. Delegate Novotny voted against the demoralizing and criminalization of our Police Force and enter a bill to lower the taxes of our First Responders. He was the only legislator to stand up against the vilification of our Officers in Schools when a HoCo Delegate aimed at removing them and making our schools less safe.
Your Schools
Keeping communities together and in local schools is my #1 school priority. As a parent, former PTA Officer, and family man, Reid knows that your involvement in education is critical. Delegate Novotny entered a bill to keep School Resource Officers in our High Schools and to create a Parents Bill of Educational Rights.
